It might actually be. Could you post the output of java -version and/or
the full version info from the browser "about:plugins" for the
IcedTeaPlugin? It should give you exactly which versions of the class
libraries, icedtea patches and vm runtime are being used (on arm there
are several combinations possible including zero and cacao).
