I think this is more of a mis-communication than anything else.
Lillian's "announcement" was perhaps badly phrased; it's more of a
suggestion.
This isn't a short time in which you have to get everything tested,
it's just a short time in which to create a test tarball. From that
time onward testing will take as long as it takes; it's not as though
you have to test all your targets in the next 24 hours, or even the
next week. The time for a release is just our estimate, based on our
guess of home long all the testing will take.
The plugin, in particular, has had a lot of fixes and our users need
them.
Do you have changes not yet committed that must be in the next
release?
Is there any reason not to snapshot the tree now?
