Absolutely.  It gives end users the warm fuzzy.  It's good, it's stable, we know it works...

Yes, at least one watching and waiting.  :-)  I do plan to replace JDK6 
with IcedTea6 in BLFS when I get the time to test it thoroughly.  With 
our current policy, that would be difficult to do without 'stable' 
releases, but not impossible.  I'm sure various other source-based 
distros are keeping an eye out as well and would likely have similar 
concerns.
