Summary: Gentoo QA Notice: "poor programming practices"
           Product: IcedTea
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: IcedTea
        AssignedTo: unassigned at icedtea.classpath.org
        ReportedBy: walch.martin at web.de

When installing icedtea on Gentoo (amd64, java-overlay:
dev-java/icedtea6-1.3.1-r2), portage complains about some compiler warnings
(gcc 4.3.2):

QA Notice: Package has poor programming practices which may compile fine but
exhibit random runtime failures.
../../../src/solaris/native/java/net/Inet6AddressImpl.c:520: warning: implicit
declaration of function 'gettimeofday'
../../../src/solaris/native/java/net/Inet4AddressImpl.c:385: warning: implicit
declaration of function 'gettimeofday'

Please do not file a Gentoo bug and instead report the above QA issues directly
to the upstream developers of this software.
