Although your original comment suggests you are running IcedTea, your package
list from comment #3 only shows the proprietary sun java installed. Please
double check whether or not you are actually running icedtea/openjdk on the
examples you show.

How exactly do you run the example you attached in comment #3? A full command
line would be helpful.

I suspect this might just be buggy JNI glade code.
