[OpenJDK 2D-Dev] freetype version check (2.3.0 -> 2.2.1)

Igor did the freetype work and in he commented in email on 23rd July 2007 :

So I don't think we want to move it down without knowing what that was about.
It may have been platform-specific. Igor - can you remember two years back ?

I also recall there was a nasty bug  where having fonts with embedded
bitmaps on your system caused an infinite loop inside freetype.
I think we needed to update the freetype lib because of that, but
I can't remember the details to be sure.
Since fonts with embedded bitmaps exist at least on Solaris & Windows
such a bug is a a definite problem,
