Zero and Shark patch refactoring

Hi all,

As a prelude to upstreaming Zero and Shark I want to alter the
makefiles to apply Zero and Shark patches for all builds.  This
shouldn't cause any problems (everything is conditional) and
since this is how they'll be when they're upstream it'd be good
to get some initial testing.  Does anybody have any problems
with this?

Also, to make this easier I'd like to get rid of the stuff for
building Zero using the bundled HotSpot.  Is anybody still using
Zero like that?
