RFC: next cross-compilation patch: override 'uname -m'

thanks all for helping me getting the first cross-compilation patch in.
Now comes the second one. I described its purpose here:

I hope to hear from you soon. Would be cool if we can get get IcedTea
100% cross-compile ready in the 1.6 timeframe. :)
