It has been about 4 months with this patch[1] in icedtea6 (mercurial) 
and openjdk6 (mercurial), but not in any of the releases. I dont see any 
signs of b21 on the horizon either :(

This bug is still unresolved as of now. I would like to get this patch 
into a release if possible. Okay to backport to 1.9?
