Howto create redistributable packages?

Hi,

I would like to build redistributable OpenJDK packages, to allow
easier testing of my xrender java2d pipeline.
For now the linux-i586 dir differs quite a bit, compared to Sun's
tarballs (e.g. no rt.jar, but classes unzipped),
is there a way to create sun-like packages?

Furthermore I guess I may not call it OpenJDK, is there a simple way
to rename it, or it it sufficient to offer it under a different name?
