the openjdk-6 builds on ubuntu karmic and lucid are all done targeting armv7,
however these are configured with the triplet arm-linux-gnueabi. there are
patches in at least IcedTea6 patching cacao to use the atomic builtins, so the
build should succeed. You may want to configure using the arm-linux-gnueabi and
passing cpu specific options to CFLAGS.
