Hi all!

Just a quick note to confirm that the error is something to do with KDE and the
way that it handles the file system.  I'm not clued enough to know exactly what
the details are, but I've been running Gnome for a couple of weeks now, and
have not seen the error at all.  

I'm happy to revert to KDE to do any bug testing if that will help.
