I suspect that this is an instance of CACAO PR82 -
<http://server.complang.tuwien.ac.at/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=82>.
It’s a known verifier bug because the author of the verifier had a wrong
understanding of INVOKEINTERFACE.

There is a switch in CACAO for disabling the verifier. I will try to find out
if it’s also accessible to the OpenJDK build. Using -noverify, we could
confirm my suspicion.
