icedtea can't run applet

[NETS email archives]

The error messages didn't make it into my original post.  They are:

formatURLPref: Couldn't get pref: app.releaseNotesURL
  file://usr/lib/iceweasel/xulrunner/components/nsURLFormatter.js
formatURLPref: Couldn't get pref: app.vendorURL
  file://usr/lib/iceweasel/xulrunner/components/nsURLFormatter.js
