  Hi,

  Currently I am stuck at packaging icedtea 1.9.7 and
openjdk b20. I should note that most times I just rip/synch
to fedora rpm spec, and that I am not a java advocate/programmer,
and basically only started maintaining the package in mandriva
to have a working java plugin, and the only test case I usually
do is the jmol plugin, used by another package I maintain.

  I added recently a sample spec file to
http://icedtea.classpath.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=509
the sample spec actually did not install files under the previous
layout, but did not work anyway. Later I found that there is/was
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=icedtea-web.git
but that did not work either.

  In both tests I used openjdk-6-src-b22-28_feb_2011.tar.gz and
icedtea6-1.10.1.tar.gz, and the icedtea-web tested were first
a snapshot, icedtea-web-24f034f372e4.tar.bz2 and later I tried
icedtea-web-1.0.2.tar.gz from what I could get from the fedora
git. Drops were the previous ones or if the build would attempt
to download it, I would update the rpm source to use files
from http://icedtea.classpath.org/download/drops

  Problem is that I cannot see any problems when running either

ICEDTEAPLUGIN_DEBUG=1 firefox

or

ICEDTEAPLUGIN_DEBUG=1 chromium-browser

but I just see a large amount of what appears to be ok log
messages, but the plugin never starts.

  Browsers tested are:

$ rpm -q firefox chromium-browser-unstable
firefox-4.0-1-mdv2011.0.x86_64
chromium-browser-unstable-12.0.733.0-1-mdv2011.0.x86_64

  Sorry for the long email, but I think it is better to give
some feedback.

Thanks,
Paulo
