It is hard to say. Given that the error occurs in libjvm.so immediately after
the Java_ncsa_hdf_hdf5lib_H5_H5Gget_1obj_1info_1all call, it is possible that
lib_linux_libjhdf5.so is passing it something bad.

I looked on the site you mentioned, but it doesn't seem like the code is Open
Source. Without looking at what it is going, I cannot give a conclusive answer.

I didn't look closely before, but it seems like you are using a very old (and
now unsupported) version of IcedTea. Can you update to the latest and see if it
still crashes?
