RFC: add support for building with gcc 4.6 + gold

Hi,

Building hotspot with gcc 4.6 and gold fails. Please see the bug filed 
at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=676659 for details.

The attached patch fixes it for me. Any thoughts?
