We probably should take a look at this giant patch:
http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk6/jdk6/langtools/rev/5c2858bccb3f

Sadly those patches were all bundled in one commit making it somewhat hard to
see them independently.

It is only a hunch though, I didn't actually try anything.

This was added after jdk6-b20, so probably the easiest to check if this helps
is to try against icedtea6-hg.
