Both the 1.9 and 1.10 series are newer than the 1.8 series release you are
using.  I also believe that F14 ships with the 1.9 series.

Your comment about not updating is odd, given you are using an IcedTea release
which is over a year old (the 1.8 series started on 2010-04-13) with Firefox 4
(released 2011-03-22) in the original bug report.

Regardless, the separation of IcedTea-Web (plugin & webstart work) from IcedTea
is a positive in terms of using older releases, as you don't need to replace
your older IcedTea release.  You can just grab the latest IcedTea-Web release
(http://icedtea.classpath.org/download/source/icedtea-web-1.0.2.tar.gz) and use
it to replace the plugin and webstart from IcedTea6 1.8 without changing
anything else.  Was the plugin & webstart still part of IcedTea, you would have
to upgrade the whole JDK to get the same changes.
