Reviewer needed: backport of 6699843 fix into IcedTea6 HEAD

Hi,

here is today's last backport I'd like to add into IcedTea6 HEAD. It
fixes the IllegalArgumentException thrown when empty string is to be
drawn by Graphics.drawString() method. Checked on RHEL 5.6 x86_64.
