Reviewer needed: backport of "6679308: Poor text rendering on translucent image" into IcedTea6 HEAD

Hi all,

I'd like to push backport of "679308: Poor text rendering on translucent
image" fix into IcedTea6 HEAD. This fix and it's regression test were
successfully checked on RHEL 5.6 x86_64.
