Please let us do some testing before pushing this to the 1.10 branch.
Some GNU/Linux systems are still using fairly old versions of libpng like 1.2.42 that currently builds IcedTea6-1.10 fine.
it would be headache to introduce regressions on the branch.

What are the lowest version of libpng that we want to support?
