That's right. That's why I'm trying to push it to just
icedtea7-forest.
No one found anything wrong with the fix itself though
(there was a suggestion that we can probably do better,
but this works, so until we figure out how, we might as
well push this).

Not just that - I have _two_ bug ids ;-)
The red hat one is 698295. The one on bugs.sun.com (that I filed
myself) is in the regression test in the patch.
