And what it doesn't say is how 'higher-priority bug fixes' are
determined.  We've only ever been submitting bug fixes for the most
part, so I would have assumed that we could go on doing so for some
time.  However, the reality seems to be that we now can't submit
anything for the next three months to OpenJDK7, but Oracle can.  I
wouldn't be happy releasing IcedTea7 to our users with known issues,
so we will continue making the changes we need, but locally.  We also
can't work on OpenJDK8 because repositories haven't been made
available.

Of course, this is without mentioning that I would expect such
decisions to be discussed within an open source project, not handed
down as a mandate.
