If Icedtea-web is the plug-in component for OpenJDK upstream, its name should be openjdk-plugin !

You can show that to the distro packagers and discuss with them how/if
they are allowed to handle naming of various components.

Mark Reinhold contributed a patch some time ago to IcedTea to make it
comply with that trademark license and only call it OpenJDK if it was
configured "in the right way", which has been integrated.
