Thanks for tackling this again! I tried it and it seemed to help at first. However after the second or third, I kept hitting safe mode
prompts. :(
IMO it's still worthy of going into repos. It needs a ChangeLog though. There's also an extra newline after p.destroy() and would you
mind adding newlines in between the sig* and kill methods? Thanks! After these, feel free to push to 1.3/HEAD.
