Hello,
I'm using a precompiled version of IcedTea under Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. However, I
tried to compile iced-tea-web-1.2.1 and it says during ./configure command:
checking for MOZILLA... no
checking for MOZILLA... no
configure: error: Package requirements (mozilla-plugin) were not met:
No package 'mozilla-plugin' found
And there's no package called 'mozilla-plugin' in Ubuntu 12.04's repositories.
Then I looked forward in Launchpad in order to see if I could find a new
precompiled packet for my platform and I found a new proposed version for
icedtea-6-plugin, called icedtea-6-plugin-1.2-2ubuntu1.2 instead of
icedtea-6-plugin-1.2.2ubuntu1.1
I installed this package and their dependencies:
icedtea-6-plugin_1.2-2ubuntu1.2_amd64.deb
icedtea-netx_1.2-2ubuntu1.2_amd64.deb
icedtea-netx-common_1.2-2ubuntu1.2_all.deb
Everything was Ok during installation and now I'm using that proposed version
but Chrome still crashes and it still says that my IcedTea version is obsolete
:-(
