I was thinking of following a strict 6 month release cycle from here on.
1.2 was released on March 5th. I was thinking that we should do the next
one in the first week of September, with branching on August.

I will send a separate email to the list to discuss this (and perhaps
shortening to 4 months instead of 6?).
