Great! So I guess the bug is already fixed?

However, that's strange that my firefox freezes and yours doesn't. Are you
using firefox 22.0-1 (archlinux)? I get a freeze even with a fresh ~/.mozilla
directory, although it takes a little more effort. But I can reliably get
firefox to freeze in less than a minute by scrolling up and down
http://www.ibiblio.org/e-notes/ and clicking a link and hitting the back button
a couple times.

Below is my pacman output.
$ pacman -Q | grep -e "icedtea\|openjdk"
icedtea-web-java7 1.4-1
