Attempted reproducer
Using Ubuntu 12.04, I see the same behaviour with the attached reproducer as
you're reporting - however, I also see that Ubuntu 12.04's repos contain
IcedTea-Web version *1.2*, which is very old. Testing with 1.4 and 1.5 (on
Fedora) with the reproducer seems to me to work fine. Which version are you
using? If it's 1.2 or 1.3, can you try again with 1.4 (current) or 1.5 (release
imminent, but can be built from source if you would rather not wait)?
