In that case, I prefer the current form: 

Check IT_CHECK_FOR_JDK in acinclude.m4 to see the list of default
checked jdks.

You can possibly improve it by writing it as:

Check IT_CHECK_FOR_JDK in acinclude.m4 to see the default search paths
for JDKs.
