--- Comment #17 from Hans-Christian Egtvedt <egtvedt at samfundet.no> ---
FWIW I have been hit by this, but eventually after I upgraded my BIOS and
fiddled a bit around with settings in the BIOS itself it has gone away.

My system is an Asus X99 Deluxe with Intel i7 5930k CPU, running Linux kernel
version 4.1.0-rc7 and my source code work directory is located on Samsung SSDs,
either 840 Pro or 850 Pro.

Altered BIOS settings, from what I assume was default values:
 - SATA controllers set in AHCI mode, one was in RAID mode.
 - Enabled Intel VT for Directed I/O (VT-d), I already had enabled
   virtualization.

BIOS version was upgraded from 1004 to 1702, several changes includes the
"Improve system stability.".

I do not think I was affected by the buggy TRIM feature in Samsung SSDs, I did
have some earlier kernels before.
