This is not the IcedTea source package, but a Gentoo binary build of IcedTea.
It is not going to magically work on another architecture simply by overriding
the architectures it is keyworded for. It is restricted to ARM, PPC and x86
because those are the architectures for which builds are available.
If you want to try building on MIPS, you need to be looking at the icedtea
package. Bear in mind though that I'm not aware of anyone building it on MIPS,
so you may encounter problems there too. However, these problems can be
resolved, whereas trying to emerge a binary package on an architecture for
which a binary doesn't exist is never going to work.
