What distro? What firefox?
I'm afraid there is not much I can do....
I thiknk it is change in firefox behaviour... There are one thing which will
work for sure:
Copy link of jnlo file, and then in terminal try `javaws url_you_copied`
Other possible workarounds - different browser, use jnlp:// protocol insted of
"normal" url to jnlp, use different settings.
Or instead of open as, use save as, and then open.
Form your example, the jnlp is generated by servlet. Saving it it wherever,
may not help as you hope. Only the real url in desktop shortcut will do the
job. Sorry.
