what is G.app_?
What gave you
System.out.println(G.app_.getDocumentBase()) ?

Documentbase x codebase is making me headache.  Maybe you can use rather
codebase?

The documentbase without document (html launching the applet) is by
specification undefined. We implemented it also for standalone applets, as many
applications was using that, and oracle javaws was allowing that.
