Pre-release builds should be built with "ea" version output:

$ ~/build/icedtea8/bin/java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_222-ea"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 3.13.0pre01+rf73f4d605f45+) (Gentoo build
1.8.0_222-ea-b01)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.222-b01, mixed mode)
