Subject: CFV: Dissolve Group: JMX

// This is a call for votes from Members of the Governing Board.
// If you aren’t a Member of the Governing Board, please don’t vote.

On behalf of Kevin Walls I hereby propose the dissolution of the JMX Group
which has not been active in years. The JMX Group interests will be folded
into the Serviceability Group [0]. The remaining active member of the JMX
Group will be nominated to become a member of the Serviceability Group.

The JMX Group sponsors the JMX 2 [1] and VisualVM [2] Projects Which will be
dissolved by virtue of losing their Sponsoring Group. Both the JMX 2 (CFV
July 2009 [3]) and VisualVM (CVF April 2008 [4]) Projects never really got off
the ground. They each contained only one Member who hasn't been active in
OpenJDK in years.

Votes are due by 23:59 UTC on Wednesday, 21 January.

Only current Governing Board Members [a] are eligible to vote on this
motion. Votes must be cast in the open by replying to this mailing list.

For Two-Thirds Majority voting instructions, see [b].

Thanks,
Iris
