I uploaded a webrev of our current state of HSAIL deopt development at

Although applying this webrev should build and be able to run the junits, we are not proposing this for actual check-in yet, it's mainly to give you, Gilles, something to look at and experiment with.

(But even though it's still a work in progress, we'll gladly accept any feedback).
