Christian, do you know why it has to be 7.1? Why not 8.1? Are there 
dependencies on the older Windows SDK?

Gilles, that seems to be true for Windows SDK 7.1 but not for 8.1 ("The 
Windows SDK no longer ships with a complete command-line build 
environment. You must install a compiler and build environment separately.")



I'll try different configurations with the aim to install as less 
components as possible.
