Harfbuzz AIX (was: Re: [OpenJDK 2D-Dev] Question regarding the integration of harfbuzz (JEP 258)

Hi Steven,

it seems you've successfully compiled harfbuzz on AIX with xlC.
Congratulations :)

Could you please be so kind to summarize what kind of additional tools
you had to use and what additional tweaks you had to apply. I remember
that in an old mail you mentioned you had to fix libtool (I also had
problems with libtool and the fact that the default version of "ar"
didn't recognize the ar command issued by libtool). I also saw you
installed freetype with rpm - did you use the version from the "AIX
toolbox for Linux applications" [1]?

So if you could post a list of the packages you had to install, your
PATH and environment settings and your configure command line that
would be much appreciated. Maybe that information could be even added
to the harfbuzz README?
