I think the version we have in my private C2 workspaces for ARM is 
correct with respect to the barrier but external review is welcome:

This has not yet been pushed into the 'official' embedded workspace but 
should be done soon (I'm working on a slightly enhanced version but this 
should not change the barrier code). Since I'm still working on it, I'll 
probably also cleanup the code for the _entry assignments similarly to 
what Igor did in this webrev.
