7063674: Wrong results from basic comparisons after calls to Long.bitCount(long)

Hi all,

I came across 7063674[1] via a post in the BDB JE forums[1] and it seems pretty 
nasty, so I thought I'd raise the issue here in case it was misfiled (as it has 
happened a few times in the past). I used the simpler test case in the comments 
and I was able to reproduce the issue with both 1.7.0_04-b20 and 1.8.0-ea-b42.
