On Oct 9 14:27:22 PDT 2007 John Rose proposed a multi-language
virtual machine project[1] to be hosted by the HotSpot group.
It's time to vote: Should the HotSpot Group sponsor this Project?
Please cast your vote by replying to this message with either
Vote: yes
or
Vote: no
as the first line of the message body. Your reply should go to me,
Peter.Kessler at Sun.COM, as I'm the current HotSpot group moderator.
That should happen if you reply to this message.
You may indicate the reason for your decision, if you wish, on
subsequent lines. You need not give a reason for your vote.
Votes are due by Oct 29 12:00:00 PDT 2007 (1900 UTC). That's this
coming Monday. I will tally the votes and post a summary to this
list and to discuss at openjdk.java.net.
Only Members of the HotSpot Group are eligible to vote on this
proposal[2]. At this early date, that means engineers on the Sun
HotSpot project.
