questions about openjdk & hotspot

Hi,

I hava two questions about OpenJDK.
1. How many lines of source code does OpenJDK have?
2. In hotspot, there are two interpreters, one is template-interpreter and the other is C++-interpreter, what's the diffrance between them? Why there are two ones?
