Side note: Given that OpenJDK in general only provides source code,
this condition is trivially satisfied for someone looking to add
command line switches on top of HotSpot in OpenJDK, whether they
are academic research projects, experimental ports to new CPU
architectures, or something else, to give a few examples where
I believe this functionality could come in handy in the future.
