The "dbx ware" was a script (vintage 1999 or so) with a few dbx commands for debugging hotspot.
The HOTSPOT_DBXWARE env-var hook almost certainly has not been used in years.
The script may be in the same old shared internal directories as the predecessor to hsdis.so.
