JVM hotspot vs. JRockit

Hi All,

 

I need some help with respect to  any sort of documentation/ presentation in terms of comparison between Hotspot JVM and JRockit JVM.

Is there any convergence roadmap between Oracle's JVMs JRockit and Hotspot, that you are aware of?

 

Particularly I am interested in a competent source which can provide me insights in topics like:

 

.         Brief overview of both JVMs, maybe sth like where they come from and a statement . why the two has been moved into one JVM?

.         Which parameters change, when the costumer coming from JRockit.

.         How can a customer "migrate" from JRockit to convergenced HotSpot JVM. What to keep in mind? How to approach this?

.         How to tune the new JVM, general, best practices, parameters.
