[8u40] RFR(XS): 8055657: Test compiler/classUnloading/methodUnloading/TestMethodUnloading.java does not work with non-default GC

Hi,

please review this 8u40 backport request. The changes were pushed on Monday.

Nightly testing showed no problems. Unfortunately, the patch does not 
apply cleanly due to [1] which was not (yet) backported.
