Java pepper support

Hi all,

I am not sure if this is the right list for this question. Please let me 
know if there is a better one.

I am interested in the future of java applets.
Chrome is phasing out NPAPI support , probably by the end of 2014. This 
means java applets wont run any more in chrome. Instead of this they 
introduced a new plugin api called pepper (PPAPI).

Is there a plan to create a java pepper plugin?
