Hi all,

The linux-sparc specific issue described in [1] was fixed directly in 
7u80 to ensure it got in in time. The fix has not yet been forward 
ported to 8u, but now it is time. The fix for 7u80 applies clean and for 
more information please refer to the old review thread [2]. After this 
fix is in 8u, I plan to move it into 9. There is a small conflict for 9 
so I will send out a proper review for that patch.
